Robyn began her creative life in Montreal; the last born into a sweet tumbleweed gang of artists, musicians and scientists. She studied painting and textile design at Skidmore college and after a few years working in the interior design world out West decided to get her Masters of Fine Art at Cranbrook Academy of Art. From there it was straight to New York City to continue her creative career.

Robyn found a home at Sunham Home Fashions and spent nine years with the company, first as a Designer, then as Design Director and ultimately as the Creative Director for their branded division. As Design Director she focused her attention on cultivating and growing the design department, working closely with sales and product development to create unique home collections that were trend right and market ready. Robyn soon realized that branded bedding was an area of business that Sunham needed to grow into. She joined the licensing team and helped to build a division that was dedicated to partnering with fashion and designer brands with a common goal of creating exciting fashion forward home and accessory collections. Working with the teams at fashion houses such as Carmen Marc Valvo and Lacoste led to exciting collaborations and challenging product development adventures.

In 2008 Robyn decided to expand her bounderies beyond the home fashions industry and start her own design business. Ruby Sky is the culmination of her personal talents with color and design and her career focused on partnership, strategic design and product development.

Robyn is currently based in Austin, Texas and continues to lead a creative life with her husband and son.
